Hi! I’m Caitlin. I work with Millenials and GenXer’s who struggle with anxiety, perfectionism, people pleasing, low self-worth and relational challenges who want to find more ease in their day to day lives. Often times these patterns can trace back to deeply rooted learnings that exist below the conscious level. I guide people to make these learnings conscious and then to update and transform them. I draw from multiple therapeutic modalities but consistently use Coherence Therapy as the overarching umbrella to guide the therapeutic process.
I use both "bottom up" and "top down" approaches so that you are not only developing insight into your problems, but are also able to get to the root of them and transform them. I mainly use Coherence Therapy, parts work, mindfulness and somatic approaches, and CBT. My work is informed by attachment theory and the science of memory reconsolidation.
About my style:
I am a deeply relational therapist who believes that the therapeutic relationship is the sacred vessel for healing. This means that I show up as my full self, not as a blank slate, because I believe it’s crucial to feel connected with another human. It also means that sessions are tailored to your needs and that you are welcome to show up exactly as you are. My practice is client-centered, trauma-informed and affirming of all diversity.
A little about me:
Beyond life as a therapist, I’m a sober, married, queer cis woman and mother. I’m a cat lover (and all animals, really), avid baker and cake decorator, and baseball enthusiast.
